today has been a whirlwind of different emotions... mostly sad ones that aren't warranted by any occurrence, so i choose not to discuss them openly. u know how sometimes your mind focuses more on the past or the future instead of the present? why is it so hard to live in the moment & take each day for what it is? who knows. who cares. i choose not to dwell on that anymore, for this is a new beginnin of sorts...or a new end. we shall see which one as time progresses. *edit* before we get started, allow me to tell u somethin quite important: i have super powers. well, 1 anyway, and that is the ability to change form. i'm a leo, therefore i'm rather impulsive & i get bored easily, so i may have a tendency to reinvent myself from time to time. call it a defense mechanism if u like. my life is takin a very strange, but amazin turn these days. i'm on the verge of livin my wildest dreams, while still tryin to recognize my saints & make sense of this crazy thing cal

WYWH. as in Wish You Were Here...an idea that poured out of me at the start of the global lockdown when i was craving closeness the most yet somehow running away from it at the same time. i'm notoriously great at romantic self-sabotage, and was feeling compelled to write about it but had no sonic landscape. I hadn't recorded in so long, and standing alone as a solo artist after being in a group for almost 20 years was scary for me. i didn't even know what i was hearing in my spirit, or what i wanted to sound like; i was spending my days riding around alone listening to Wu-Tang. complete isolation, dreaming while awake of being held, adored...left with nothing but time to explore my mind & heart...trying to figure out how to finally follow the latter. a beautiful mess. thank you Luke (a saint forreal) for swooping in at the perfect time and turning my rough ideas into fecund aural dreamscapes. can't wait to actually create with you in person. in other news, remind

Mascot Prince with H.C. Coming To L.A. Club Posted on May 20, 2008 by drfunkenberry This Just In! Prince Dressed in yellow & black, (in honor of his new “H.C.” mascot status) has been following the Honey Collective around like a groupie. He may attend Goa sometime Tuesday night with a few members of his band. They have been in town rehearsing for a book release party to be held outdoors at his newly acquired Beverly Hills crib (More on that later.) What’s the allure of the Honey Collective?
